  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 6 servings

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups water
  • 68 black tea bags
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 cup cold water (for dilution)
  • 12 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh strawberries & lemon slices (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Make the Strawberry Syrup

In a saucepan, combine chopped strawberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water.
Simmer for 10–15 minutes until the strawberries break down.
Strain the mixture to remove solids and set aside to cool.

2. Brew the Tea

Bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
Remove from heat and add tea bags.
Steep for 5–7 minutes, then remove the tea bags.

3. Combine

Pour the brewed tea into a large pitcher.
Add the strawberry syrup and stir well.

4. Add Flavor

Mix in lemon juice and adjust sweetness if needed.

5. Chill

Add 1 cup cold water and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.

6. Serve

Serve over ice with fresh strawberries and lemon slices for garnish.

Notes

  • Pro Tip: Always sweeten tea while it’s still warm to dissolve sugar properly.
  • Use fresh strawberries for the best flavor, but frozen works in a pinch.
  • Avoid over-steeping tea to prevent bitterness.
  • Adjust sweetness depending on your preference.
